We are aware that as a Company we have an impact on both the environment and the surrounding communities and, since 1977, we have set an example of corporate and social responsibility. We care about the beauty of the world that hosts us as an invaluable asset to treasure and we wish to leave a better world for future generations.

REDUCING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

Our Company is developed in a factory structured with a 100kWh photovoltaic plant that allows us to produce, each year, 5.5kWh of electricity from renewable sources. The installation has a strong impact on sustainability and energy efficiency which, combined with the use of LED technology, reduces the company’s annual emissions by 70 tonnes.

WASTE AND RECYCLING MANAGEMENT

Our business constantly pays attention to the environment, social welfare and fair and far-sighted governance, which is why we make the most of our company’s recycling policy, involving the use of recycling containers with additional precautions such as separating plastic bottles and caps.

ENVIRONMENT

ADHERENCE TO ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS

As a lighting company, we need to use and process special material that permits the passage of electricity and lighting. These components must be handled with care at all stages of processing, even when they become waste material. This is why we pay extreme attention to:
  • WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), which identifies the residues of devices that run on electricity by adhering to the European Directive 2012/19/EU, which mentions “Producers must be responsible for their products even when they become waste”
  • RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) related to limiting the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment for environmental compliance, including the proper recovery and environmentally sound disposal of EEE waste

At Enlightech, we set business goals that allow us to improve every day and with ISO 9001 Certification we define ways to achieve high performance through improved processes at all levels of the organisation.
